With over 50 years of combined experience, our management team has witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of disasters. We’ve assisted at every significant Canadian catastrophe since 2010 - including the Southwestern Ontario floods in 2024, the atmospheric river event in British Columbia in 2021, the Calgary floods in 2013, and the Fort McMurray wildfire in 2016. Because of this, we recognize how essential it is to have reliable, high-quality equipment in times of greatest need.
Before we launched our company, restoration companies sometimes lacked the equipment to manage a project efficiently or didn’t have enough. Recognizing the crucial need to fill this gap, David Machado launched Rentals 247, initially in the Toronto area, in 2019.
It became evident early on that the industry greatly needed this type of business. Within five years, our company grew to several Canadian locations in Toronto, London, Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton. With multiple offices came the ability to ensure rapid delivery and installation of specialty commercial rental equipment nationwide, typically within 24 hours, 365 days a year.
Throughout it all, we’ve developed a reputation for our professionalism, timeliness, and comprehensive turn-key services. We’re the only rental company dedicated exclusively to disaster restoration management, providing knowledgeable, unique solutions that help restoration companies expand their services.

Founder of Rentals 247, the trusted partner for contractors tackling large-scale disaster restoration projects across Canada and the U.S. With over 30 years of industry experience and ownership of multiple restoration companies, David excels at delivering complete disaster restoration solutions—assessing each job, sizing the right high-capacity drying equipment, and scaling resources to meet contractor needs.
From CAT events to complex commercial losses, his hands-on leadership and rapid-response approach ensure teams have the right tools exactly when they need them. Known for efficiency, reliability, and expertise, David makes Rentals 247 the go-to source for fast, effective large-scale drying solutions when timing and performance matter most.Edgar Lopez, National Director of Operations
During the inception of Rentals 247, Edgar Lopez used his proven track record and education to assist with operational tasks. Once he realized his passion for the disaster restoration industry, he went all in, advancing from Logistics Manager to National Director of Operations.
In his current role, Edgar applies his formal training and seasoned experience in risk management to provide objective insights on operational decisions. With a nationwide team, he relies on his strong leadership abilities to efficiently manage employees, regardless of distance. He’s often praised for his effective people management style, strategic problem-solving, and results-driven, impartial hiring practices.
